Student Advanced Classes
In November 2010, a Bluffton Today article entitled “Middle School Boredom Targeted” highlighted parental concerns about the school district’s middle school programs. Since that time, many changes have been made with the intent to stretch each and every learner in every school.
Please take this opportunity to answer a few anonymous questions about the academic programs in our middle schools. Your input will be taken into consideration when planning program adjustments and improvements. To access the survey, please click on the link below.

8th Grade Promotion Day
EIGHTH GRADE PROMOTION DAYDear Parents:
On Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 9:00 AM we will hold a Promotion Day for our eighth grade students. This ceremony is designed to honor our eighth graders as they move on to the high school. In order for students to participate they must owe no money to Lady’s Island Middle School. The students must also dress for success” for this ceremony. Girls should wear white dresses; boys should wear black pants with a white collared shirt and tie. We are sending you this notice early so that you will be aware of the requirements for this celebration for our eighth graders. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dan Murphy, 7th-8th grade counselor, at 322-3156 or dan.murphy@beaufort.k12.sc.us.
